Hello. I have Car Radio for Toyota RAV4 2007-2012: [2G+64G] 9 Inch 1280 * 800 and all calls the caller has an echo. I am using external MIC and there is also a MIC on the head unit. Any firmware update to fix this? If I need to do a firmware update can you instruct me how using USB stick?

Upgrade went in with no issues. Thanks so much. I still have the echo on the other caller side. Still have the external mic in and can’t seem to find anywhere in new upgrade where I can disable the mic on the head unit. Help!

The built-in microphone and the external microphone can sometimes interfere with each other, as they essentially “compete” for the same function, which can result in poor call quality, including issues like background noise and echo. To improve call clarity and resolve these issues, we recommend physically removing the built-in microphone. This process is quite simple. You’ll need to: Remove the screws on the back of the radio. Locate the built-in microphone on the circuit board. It will be a small metal dot on the top-left corner of the board. Carefully remove the built-in microphone. By doing this, you will effectively eliminate the interference, and the external microphone will be able to deliver clearer, more stable call quality without the issues of noise or echo. Your current version requires an update. I recommend upgrading both the system and the MCU together.
There are two available upgrade methods:

OTA (Online) Upgrade
Click [Login to see the link] to download the APK and perform the upgrade online.
USB Upgrade
Click [Login to see the link] to download the firmware package and upgrade via a USB drive.

Hello,
You can update directly using the OTA online update feature provided in the forum post—no need to manually download the firmware. Once the update is complete, the unit will reboot and apply the latest version automatically.

I’d really appreciate some clear cut instructions. My steering wheel buttons aren’t working and my version is out of date

To provide you with the correct firmware and help resolve the steering wheel control issue, I need to confirm a few things first:

Your car model and year – The system software may vary depending on the vehicle.
Is your screen horizontal or vertical? – Different screen orientations use different firmware.
Please go to:
Settings > System > Device > System Info
Then tap the screen once. A pop-up window will appear showing the chip type — we need to confirm whether it says “813” or “815”. (Both are quad-core units but require different firmware.)

Once you send me this info, I’ll share the correct update file and guide you through the process step-by-step.
