Climate Control Issue: By disabling that, is there another way to see the current temperature set? As far as i could find, enabling that was the only way i could see the temperature.

For the Media Display: This will spin perpetually when attempting to load the current playing media from CarPlay. On the stock radio, this area would display the song and album image. It would be automatic. I don’t believe my car has a digital amp. Car is a Honda Civic 2016 LX

    Thank you for your response!

    Regarding the climate control issue:
If disabling the climate popup prevents you from viewing the temperature, you can go to Touch Assistant Setup and check the option shown in the image below. This will enable a floating climate control icon on the screen. If you need to check the climate status, simply tap on this icon to view the information.

    Regarding the media display issue:
I have confirmed with our engineering team that it is not possible to sync CarPlay information from the head unit to the instrument panel. We sincerely apologize for this limitation.

However, if you would like to resolve the issue where the media display on the instrument panel keeps spinning, please follow these steps:

    1. Reinstall the original factory radio.

    2. Go to “Settings” on the factory radio.

    3. Navigate to “System.”

    4. Find and select “Instrument Panel Settings.”

    5. Tap “Delete.”

    6. Select the Media or Music icon.

    7. Tap the “×” icon in the upper right corner of the selected icon.

    8. Tap “Confirm Settings.”

After completing these steps, reinstall our head unit, and the issue should be resolved.

If you need further assistance, please let us know!

    Best regards,

Leo Sounds good! i can live without the media on the dash. The climate control wouldn’t be as bad if i had some level of control over the display. Perhaps this can be addressed in a future OS update.

One last thing, is it possible to improve the camera activation when putting the car into reverse or using the right camera? There is a noticeable activation lag compared to the stock radio. Perhaps you could pre-buffer the video feed to allow for instant viewing?

      Thanks again for your help!

        Hello ryancoen,

I’m glad to hear that you’re okay with the media display issue. Regarding the climate control interface, I understand your concern, and I will pass your suggestion to our development team. Hopefully, this can be improved in a future system update.

Regarding the activation delay of the reverse/side camera:
I’d like to confirm whether you’re using our provided camera or the original factory camera.

If possible, could you record a short video showing the screen when shifting into reverse? This would help us better analyze the specific issue and provide a more accurate solution.

        Looking forward to your feedback!

        Best regards,
        Leo

Leo I am using the original factory camera. I will post a video tomorrow detailing the issue, but as an example with the stock radio when i engage the right turn signal, the camera activates right away and i am able to view it. Deactivating it switches back to my media immediately. On the new radio, there is a solid 1-2 second delay before i am able to view the image.

Thank you very much for taking the time to record a video—it will help us better analyze the issue.
Once you upload the video, I will conduct a further analysis and provide you with more specific guidance.

Looking forward to your video and feedback!

Leo Apologies for the delay. I’ve been a bit under the weather these past few days. See attached for the video. It’s difficult to show, but when engaging reverse or the right turn signal, it is delayed by about 1-2 seconds before the video feed is actually shown.

              Hello ryancoen,

Thank you for providing the video and additional link. I really appreciate your patience and the effort you put into documenting the issue.

From your video, I can confirm that this is a normal phenomenon. Apologies for the misunderstanding earlier—I initially thought you were referring to the screen freezing or stuttering during reversing.

Why is there a 1-2 second delay?

When you shift into reverse, the camera image may take 1-2 seconds to appear on the screen. This is due to the following factors:

              1. Camera startup time

                • Most reverse cameras only start working after receiving the reverse signal, and they typically take 1-2 seconds to initialize.
              2. Android system processing

                • Since our head unit runs on Android, it does not have the same level of dedicated reverse camera optimization as traditional factory systems. The system needs to process the reverse signal, switch the interface, and initialize the camera video input, which may cause a slight delay.

              3. Camera signal format matching

                • If the camera’s signal format (e.g., NTSC or PAL) does not match the head unit’s default setting, the system will automatically adjust, which can add about 1 extra second of delay.

              4. CANBUS data transmission delay

                • Some vehicles rely on CANBUS to transmit the reverse signal, which may introduce additional processing time before the video feed is displayed.

              Future Optimization Plans

I will discuss this with our development team to see if we can optimize this issue in future software updates. If any improvements are made, I will notify you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Let me know if you have any other concerns.

              Best regards,
              Leo

Leo Thank you for the attention to detail! I understand there will be limitations in place, but i am hopeful these issues can be resolved in a future update as the stock system also ran on android.

Last question, do you know how i can calibrate the display? The current setting has a bit of a blue hue to it.

                Thank you!

                Hi, this is Peter.

Thank you for your attention to detail!

As for your last question, you can try enabling the “Eye Comfort” mode in the display settings. This will adjust the color temperature and reduce the blue tint, making the screen appear warmer and more comfortable to look at.

If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out anytime. We’re here to help!

PeterParker I did find that feature, but i was hoping for a bit more of a granular approach. Thank you though!

Sorry, but there isn’t a more detailed method available at the moment.🙁

However, if you have specific questions or need further clarification, I’ll be happy to assist you.
