Steering wheel controls not connecting

My steering wheel controls are not connecting with the new radio. Have tried entering manual mode yet all of the buttons say null. The bottom row of buttons; power, home, back, plus volume and decrease volume has also stopped working was working briefly when radio was installed.

Chevolet silverado 1500 2011, any help is greatly appreciated

If the steering wheel buttons and the lower row (Power / Home / Volume) stop working after installing the new head unit, it’s usually due to a CANBUS decoder connection issue or incorrect CAN protocol setting.

Please follow these steps to check:

Open the built-in App Store on the head unit and update the three CANBUS protocol apps. After the updates are installed successfully, reboot the head unit.
Go to Settings → Factory (enter password 3368) → Car model, and select:
XP (simple) → OTHER → GMC → 2013.
If the steering wheel buttons still don’t work, try reconnecting the CANBUS decoder.
Then, open the About Device page and check whether the CAN version shows a normal version number or “Unknown.”

Good news, the bottom bar is working again

Updated canbus all three, version is unknown-picture uploaded. Disconnected and reconnected. All buttons still come up as null with steering wheel settings

When you open a door, does the display show a door status icon (indicating which door is open)?

If no icon appears, it’s very likely a CANBUS communication problem.
If the icon does appear, please take a photo of the current System Info screen.
You can find it by opening System Info, then tap it once — a pop-up window will show the System App version and System version.

Please try restoring the head unit to factory settings first:
Go to Settings → User → Backup and Reset (enter password 3368) → Erase All Data.
After the reset is complete, check if the CANBUS and steering wheel buttons start working.
