Hi Everyone. I just installed the head unit & it’s really awesome, what a huge upgrade. I was able to connect my phone & everything works great but I can’t seem to setup the Home Screen to display only the apps I want, can someone tell me how to do that?. I also can’t find a “CarPlay” App, do I need to open the “Car Link” App every time I want to connect to Apple CarPlay?

📌 About customizing Home Screen icons

Please long press any icon on the Home Screen, and you will see the option to replace or change it.
If the long press does not work, it means your current system version uses a fixed layout.
➡ In that case, please send me your system version information, and I will check if an update is available for you.

📌 About CarPlay

Your head unit uses CarLink 2.0, which supports:

Apple CarPlay
Android Auto
✅ Both wired and wireless connections are supported through this app — there is no separate “CarPlay” app.
After the first successful pairing, the system can automatically connect when you start the car—no need to manually open the app each time.

If you need connection instructions or auto-connect settings, feel free to let me know.

Thanks Leo, I’ll try customizing the screen this way. I also noticed that CarPlay sometimes disconnects & audio stops playing over bluetooth despite the phone Bluetooth still showing “Connected” to the head unit. Will see how that goes for the ext couple of days & will post again if the problem continues

For the CarPlay disconnection issue, please go to the App Store on the head unit and check whether “CarLink 2.0” is updated to the latest version. Updating to the latest version can often resolve stability issues.

Hi [Login to see the link], so I have a couple of Issues to share.

1. CarPlay sometimes disconnects while I’m driving then nothing makes it connect again. it just. shows a screen saying “Verification Approved” & nothing happens. I tried restarting the phone, forcing quit carlink & reconnecting bluetooth manually & nothing works. at this point the phone connects to the head unit via bluetooth but music wouldn’t play on the car speakers. The phone doesn’t connect until I turn off the car then start it again then try to reconnect manually. My CarLink was updated a few days ago & there are no new updates available for it

I try to connect to wifi but the head unit searches for available networks, connect to my phone hotspot then turns off wifi on its own! Can that be fixed?

I have videos for those 2 issues but I get an error when uploading
