Hello Leo,

A couple of questions for you. I’ve been able to install and get most of the factory items working just fine.

Model #

The box listed “T121” while the actual unit lists Platform Information as “TS10”. Which would be correct?

Head Unit Display Screen

The unit arrived with a screen protector which prevented scratches during shipment. Once that film was removed, I noticed the display has another film installed, which does not exactly fit in the corners and can be seen in sunlight. Was this intentional, or is this additional layer also intended to be removed?

UI Concerns

When opening the two front doors, the graphic displayed is a 4 door vehicle (rather than a truck) from a birds eye view. Is this an item which can be configured? The Home page depicts the proper Ford F150 model for my specific year. Also, when opening either of the two rear doors, the head unit will dim but no doors are shown.

After a recent restart, a white orb appeared which is moveable on the screen, but not able to be hidden. How can I eliminate this from always being visible?

I’m sure I’ll have more questions as I navigate the multiple settings and formalize setup. Thank you in advance

The white orb corrected itself after a forced restart. I believe it was related to a “suspension” or other toggle enabled feature.

Thank you very much for your detailed feedback — it’s very helpful. Please see my answers below:

1️⃣ Model information
The “T121” printed on the box refers to the screen size specification, while “TS10” shown in the system refers to the main unit platform model.
👉 Please note that all firmware and software updates are based on the TS10 platform.

2️⃣ Screen film
The first layer you removed is the shipping protection film.
The second layer currently on the screen (slightly smaller around the corners and visible under sunlight) is an anti-glare protective film.
✅ We recommend keeping it on, as it helps reduce reflection and protects the touch screen from scratches.

3️⃣ Door display (UI)
The car image shown when opening doors — the “sedan top-view” — is a generic CANBUS animation interface, and it currently cannot be customized.
As for the issue that the head unit dims when rear doors are opened but no doors are displayed — could you please confirm whether your F150 is a two-door or four-door version?
This will help us verify the CAN signal configuration.

4️⃣ White floating dot on the screen
That is the Floating Shortcut / Quick Access icon.
You can turn it off under:
Settings → Device → Display → Floating shortcut (or Floating Ball)
Simply switch it off and it will disappear.

Hi Leo, thanks for the quick reply! I appreciate the extra insights so I know the model and parameters to be mindful about during use.

My vehicle model is a 2013 F150 Lariat Crew Cab (4 door). Although I didn’t change any of the settings, one of the Menu items does show the version being used as a Ford Explorer. Not sure if there’s an updated version available.

After connecting to a WiFi network, you can check for a new version.
If a new version is available, you can directly download and install the update.

Apologies on the delayed response. I’d attempted to update (detection update located a more recent file), but continually received failed UI messages (attached). Seems the unit disconnects WiFi in the middle of the update causing the fail error to display. Attaching a video is proving to be troublesome (file too large, or format incompatibility issues. I’ll attempt later). Looking forward to any recommendations (even if simply turning off the door settings is the best path). CarPlay and all other features are working just fine. I might be a bit too picky on this and am comfortable without the feature. It’s an awesome head unit! Thanks, Leo!
