Hello

Recently, my brake light is constantly on when in Park and beeping when driving over 1mph. When in reverse, the brake light disappears.

I’ve had my:

Brakes inspected, parking brake inspected, brake fluid levels checked, firmware updated, and brake wire for video in motion settings both On and Off.

I have the brake wires connected from wiring harness to the canbus + the reverse camera.

Everything was working smoothly for the past 2 months. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the detailed info.

Normally, the brake wire from the harness does not need to be connected at all — the brake signal should be correctly handled by the CANBUS decoder.

Since everything was working fine for the past two months and just recently started acting up, this strongly suggests the issue is not related to the head unit itself, but rather caused by the CANBUS box malfunctioning, possibly sending a wrong brake status to the head unit.

🔧 Please try the following:

Unplug the CANBUS box temporarily from the system.
Check if the brake light and beeping issue go away.
- If everything returns to normal after removing the CANBOX, that confirms it is faulty.

If confirmed, we can send you a replacement CANBUS decoder immediately.
