Wiring Instructions for Each Component

—
🔹 Head Unit Harness (Left Side) – Pin 5:
Pin 5 is the reverse trigger input of the head unit. When it receives a 12V signal, the head unit automatically switches to the rearview camera interface.
✅ Note:
Although the system uses CANBUS to control reverse switching, the CANBUS box actually sends a 12V signal to Pin 5 when the car is shifted into reverse, triggering the head unit to switch to rearview mode.
—
🔹 Camera Power Cable:
The red power wire of the camera does not need to be connected elsewhere, but it must be taped securely with electrical tape to prevent it from touching the black wire and causing a short circuit.
—
🔹 Reverse Trigger Wire (Connect to Pin 5):
The green wire from the front part of the camera cable (sometimes red or pink) should be connected to the Pin 5 wire of the head unit harness. This wire receives the 12V reverse signal from the CANBUS box.
✅ Note:
This connection not only triggers the head unit to switch views but also allows the camera to receive power only when reversing, improving safety and extending lifespan.
—
🔹 Video Cable:
The video signal from the camera is transmitted through the yellow RCA connector to the head unit’s video input for display.

🔁 Summary
✅ The CANBUS box outputs 12V to Pin 5 to trigger rearview switching.
✅ Camera power is synchronized with the reverse signal through Pin 5.
✅ Unused red/black wires should be insulated to avoid short circuits.
✅ Video is transmitted via yellow RCA cable.
