[Login to see the link] I would like to connect the backup camera that came with the device. Can you please provide better/more specific instructions on which wires I need to cut/disconnect/connect to the head unit itself for a 2013 GMC Yukon SLT? It seems to be a single wire but clearer instructions would be helpful.

About our supplied camera, please see attached picture of wiring diagram. Please confirm you already connect the camera wire beside yellow RCA cable to the pin5 rear camera wire of black main radio power harness, and connect yellow camera rca port to the 10pin single yellow rca female port (not any female port from rca cables supplied). It is better to send us pictures of current wire connection for better confirmation.

[Login to see the link] Any ideas why I have to go into settings and then WLAN settings each time I create a wifi hotspot on my phone to provide wifi connectivity to your device? The unit has been connected and using internet connection (data) from my phone many times but it seems to “forget” the connection and will not automatically start wifi search without me accessing the WLAN menu first after my hotspot is turned on.

May I ask if you had connected Bluetooth before the last shutdown of the unit?
We’ve just confirmed that this issue does not occur on firmware version 250306. I recommend updating your system to this version to see if it resolves the Wi-Fi auto-connection problem.

2013GMC [Login to see the link] Sorry I didn’t include in last reply but there are no longer any CANBUS updates in the Google Play Store. I did a thorough search so there is no update for Android. What do you recommend?

Regarding my previous mention of “update the app related to protocol settings,” this refers to the “APP Store” app pre-installed on your head unit. Please open it, and you will see the following interface (see image). From there, update the CAN protocol or related system apps.

As for the CAN protocol showing “Unknown”, please make sure the 8-pin serial cable at the back of the head unit is properly connected (see image for reference). If the connection is loose or incorrect, the system cannot detect your vehicle’s protocol, which may cause issues with steering wheel controls and volume handling.

Once everything is connected and apps are updated, please proceed to update the necessary protocol-related apps to ensure proper functionality.

Regarding the issue you mentioned about not being able to access forum posts on Android devices (including the head unit), I will look into whether it’s related to browser compatibility.

Leo I have that diagram already. I just wanted to double check before I start stripping and connecting pin 5 A-cable to camera B-cable. The youtube link is not sending me to your video tutorial. Please advise.

Leo I normally leave bluetooth connected and my phone linked so new bluetooth connection should not be a factor.

I thought I had already updated my system with the latest available version. Where can I find firmware version 250306 and how do I complete the update. I am asking since previous updating was obviously not completed with what I already did.

Thank you for confirming! Yes, pin 5 from the A-cable should be connected to the camera B-cable.
Could you please check if this updated link works for you?

Regarding the issue you mentioned when accessing forum threads on a mobile phone or a new head unit, does the error message say “You do not have permission to do that”?
