Depps
Hello Depps,
Thank you for your message!
Typically, when installing a new aftermarket head unit, you do not need to enter the anti-theft code. If your vehicle is currently displaying a “security lock” or anti-theft warning, this is usually caused by disconnecting the original radio while the system was still powered on, resulting in a loss of communication signals. Please try the following steps:
1. Check CANBUS Settings
go to:
Settings → Factory Settings (Password: 3368) → Car Model Selection, and check if the current selection is:
✅ XC(BSJ)—Dodge—COOV—XC(BSJ)
If it is already set to this option, try changing it to:
✅ XC(BSJ)—Fiat—Freemont—XC and see if this resolves the issue.
2. Perform a Battery Reset
Disconnect the car battery (negative terminal) and wait for 10-15 minutes, then reconnect it.
This can sometimes reset the anti-theft system and restore normal functionality.
3. Confirm If an Anti-Theft Code is Needed
If you are reinstalling the original Dodge radio, it should prompt you to enter the anti-theft code automatically.
If the system still displays an anti-theft warning, please provide a screenshot or details of the error message, and I will analyze the issue further for you.
Best regards,
Leo
