I am having problems when using Carlink to connect my iPhone. When I connect it wirelessly, Carlink works fine but after a while it disconnects and won’t let me connect again. I had to reset it to be able to connect.

Hello.
The issue you’re experiencing with CarLink/Android Auto might be due to outdated software. Upgrading CarLink to the latest version can help fix connection problems and improve stability. After upgrading, try reconnecting your phone to see if the issue is resolved.
Please download the attached APK file to your computer and copy it to your USB drive. Once the file is on your USB drive, connect the drive to your device and open the File Manager app. Locate the APK file in the File Manager and confirm that it is in the .apk format. If it isn’t, you can rename it within the File Manager app to ensure the correct format.
Finally, click on the APK file (not select √ ) to bring up the installation window and follow the prompts to install the APK.

By the way, the following are the connection methods of CarPlay:
For wireless carplay/Android Auto setup steps:

Turn on the Bluetooth app on the radio and connect to your phone’s bluetooth (password: 0000).
Note: For Android Auto need to download the Android Auto APP at your phone’s play store first. Confirm the phone can support Android Auto.
Open the Carlink 2.0 App（or Zlink 5 app）on the car radio to activate Carplay/Android Auto.

Please also set the radio as vehicle-mounted device (VMT) on your phone.
Enter Bluetooth– click the device name– Device Type and set it as Car Stereo.
If a bubble pop up, please remember to click “Turn on WiFi & Use CarPlay”

I installed the carlink apk you sent and I still have the problem when I’m connected wireless. I don’t have any problem when I connected using lighting cable. After I install the apk the carlink version still 2.0. I clear all BT information previously installed, and install again.

lpratts29 Hello, please confirm if you are connected via Bluetooth while also using a USB extension cable. Please try disconnecting the USB cable and using only the Bluetooth connection.

The phone disconnected randomly.

When I connect via Carlink, the USB cable is disconnected. My iPhone’s carplay works fine. After some time connected and working fine, it disconnects and does not allow me to connect the Carplay again except using the USB cable. I need to restart the device to be able to connect my iPhone again. When I connect the bluetooth only to the device without using Carlink I do not have any disconnection problem.

Note: I have two cars with the same radio. Tell me if you need the same info of the other car. I bought both together.

Thank you for providing the detailed information. I have checked your firmware version, and it is the latest one, so there is no need for an upgrade.

Additionally, I noticed that you mentioned the wired connection works fine, but the wireless connection disconnects or sometimes fails to connect. I believe this issue might be related to certain settings.

Could you please try the following setting adjustment to see if it resolves the issue?

Go to:
Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services, and turn off the Networking & Wireless toggle.

Additionally, you mentioned another radio unit.
I would like to know if the other radio also experiences issues with wireless CarPlay.
