Recently, we have received feedback from some users regarding the installation of the head unit for the 2009-2012 Ford F150. After removing the key, the head unit remains on with the screen lit. Upon inspection, we found that the issue is caused by an outdated firmware version of the Canbus Box.
If you encounter this issue, please download the Canbus firmware update from the link below. Make sure to confirm that the Canbus Box you received matches the model shown in the image below (Model: FD-SS-04A).

Download the latest firmware file from the provided link and ensure the file is complete.
Prepare a USB drive with at least 8GB capacity formatted to FAT32, and clear all files.
Copying the firmware to the USB drive:
Extract the downloaded firmware file and copy the files to the root directory of the USB drive.
Ensure the file names remain unchanged and unmodified.
Open the extracted folder and place the βUPDEβ file in the root directory of the USB drive as shown below.

Connect the USB Drive to the Navigation Head Unit:
Insert the USB drive into the USB port of the navigation head unit.
Power on the navigation head unit and go to the system settings menu.
Start the Firmware Update:
Navigate through the menu in the following order:
Settings β Factory (password: 3368) β Original Car Agreement β CAN Box Upgrade
Select the firmware file from the USB drive to begin the upgrade.
