Screen Mirror Link help

I just purchased and received [Login to see the link]radio. Everything is working but I don’t know how to do screen mirror link from my phone to the radio. I don’t see an app for that, when I connect a cable Android Auto starts, but there is nothing to mirror my display which is the only reason I purchased this.

What do I need to launch for Mirroring?

Regarding the screen mirror feature – this unit supports wireless/wired Android Auto and wireless/wired Apple CarPlay, but does not support traditional screen mirroring, unless a specific mirroring app like “EasyConnection” or “TimaStar” is installed. If you don’t see such apps on your device, it likely means the feature hasn’t been pre-installed.

To enable the mirror link function, please follow the steps below:

Download the APK file from this link to your computer:

Copy the APK file to a USB drive, then plug the USB into your unit.
Open the File Manager app on the unit, locate the APK file, and make sure the file extension is Login to see the code. If not, you can rename it using the File Manager.
Tap the APK file (please don’t tap the √ symbol) to bring up the installation window, then follow the prompts to install.

Uh oH!! I accidently put the wrong firmware on that I downloaded from another thread on this forum.. Now my display is vertical and not horizontal and only like 3 apps are there.. I was no thinking and didn’t get any version info or about prior to this happening. Do you have a link to the firmware for [Login to see the link] radio?

Oh no! Sorry to hear about the wrong firmware flash — but no worries, we’ll help you sort it out!

Could you let me know whether your unit is the quad-core or octa-core version?

I found another H815 download in this forum but it was for vertical not horizontal.. Can you fix the link to the Quad Horizontal firmware? Thank you.

Thank you for your feedback, and I sincerely apologize for the broken link — the file was accidentally moved to the trash.

We’ve recently updated the firmware for the quad-core horizontal screen version, so the old version was removed.
The new version hasn’t been uploaded yet, but I’ll make sure to upload it tomorrow and send you the updated download link right away.

Thank you Leo, the firmware worked, the radio is back up and working again. However I noticed it’s running android 8.9.0 not 12 anymore.. Doesn’t appear this is the latest version, or at least the same that was on the radio previously.

That worked, thank you so very much! It is even android 13. The interface has been updated and is very nice. The only bummer is there is no software included that will mirror my phone via USB like the android 12 version had. But no worries, I’ll work on that on the side.

Regarding the screen mirroring feature — we actually decided to discontinue the previous mirroring software due to frequent issues like lag, disconnection, and overall instability. Instead, we recommend using the CarLink 2.0 app, which offers a more stable and practical way to connect your phone to the unit.

While it doesn’t mirror your phone’s exact screen, we believe its functionality provides a much better user experience for features like navigation, music, and calls.

There appears to be many different versions of “Carlink” on the android store.. Could you guide me on which to install and how to? Does it get installed on head unit and phone?

Hello Rick,

Carlink 2.0 does not require any additional downloads — it’s already pre-installed on our head unit.
You simply need to connect your phone via Bluetooth or USB, then open the “Carlink 2.0” app on the device to start the connection.
Here are Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto Setup Steps:
1.Turn on the Bluetooth app on the radio and connect to your phone’s Bluetooth (password: 0000).
Note: For Android Auto, make sure to download the Android Auto app from your phone’s app store first. Verify that your phone supports Android Auto.
2.Open the Carlink 2.0 app (or Zlink 5 app) on the car radio to activate CarPlay/Android Auto.
3.Ensure the radio is set as a vehicle-mounted device (VMT) on your phone:
Go to Bluetooth, tap on the device name, then select Device Type and set it as Car Stereo. If a prompt appears, remember to tap "Turn on Wi-Fi & Use CarPlay.
