Radio doesn't turn ON

I bought the “Ford Transit 2013 2014-2019, 2G+64G 9″ Android 13”

For my Ford Transit 2018 Cargo with AM/FM radio only and NO Steering controls.

When I plug the radio with your connections and Accessories to ACC1, nothing happens. When I turn the ignition switch. the radio doesn’t turn ON. Have tried with ACC2 (canbus), still nothing happens.

So, I made myself direct connections for the 3 current/voltage pins defined in your “power line definition chart” which are; the ground, constant 12v power and the accessory/ignition power. With only these 3 connections plugged in, the radio turns ON correctly when I turn the Van Ignition switch.

Reconnecting it with your harness, nothing happens, it doesn’t come ON. Tried with and without the 8 pin canbus plugged in and not plugged in.

So, what can prevent the unit from coming on?

What do I have to do to make it work?

Dear Customer,

As shown in the image above, the Ford Transit model has two different OEM head unit configurations:

ACC signal is decoded via the Canbus box
ACC signal is directly provided by the vehicle’s wiring harness

To troubleshoot the issue, please follow these steps:

Check if there is a wire in the corresponding pin of “ACC1” on the vehicle’s wiring harness:
- If there is no wire, it means your vehicle’s ACC signal is provided through Canbus decoding. In this case, the Canbus box may be faulty, and we recommend checking or replacing it.
- If there is a wire, it indicates that the vehicle directly provides the ACC signal.
Check the fuse:
- If your vehicle provides an ACC signal but the unit still won’t turn on, the fuse may have blown, causing no power to the ACC wire.
- Below is the fuse diagram (please refer to your vehicle’s fuse box location and check if the relevant fuse is intact).

SO…here is the situation:

There is a cable on the vehicle’s wiring harness, and I did check it and it actually does work and sink ON with the vehicle’s switch. Verified with a multimeter and 12V come’s on when I turn the switch to RUN position.

Plugging the harness with the ACC1 connected, the radio still doesn’t come ON. So, I tried with the ACC2 just to make sure, and it doesn’t come ON either.

After that, I made a test, connecting only 3 wires…1-The Ground wire, 2-The Always ON 12V, 3-The ACC1 (switch ON) wire…to my surprise, the radio came ON and I could go through the android system.

Remaking the connection with the unit harness and ACC1 connected…it doesn’t come ON!!! Also tried the same connection with the CANBUS 8 PIN connector connected and not connected…still not turning ON!

Please tell me what to do to make it work!

ONE more question since I was able to go through the system with only 3 wires plugged. When I checked the system, it was an Android 12 version and nowhere was I able to find an UPDATE Option. When I bought the system…IT said ANDROID 13! So, was it just false advertising or is there a way to Update to Android 13?

Based on your test, it’s confirmed that your vehicle does provide a valid ACC signal through the original wiring harness. When you manually connected the ground, constant 12V, and ACC wires, the unit powered on and entered the system normally, which means the device itself is functioning properly.

Regarding the power issue:

It appears the issue may lie in either the wiring harness or the CANBUS decoder box. Please try the following steps for troubleshooting:

Check whether the ACC1 pin in our harness matches the ACC output pin on your vehicle’s connector. In rare cases, the pin positions may not match.
You can directly connect the 3 wires (Ground, Constant 12V, ACC) from the vehicle’s plug, bypassing the CANBUS box—just like in your previous test. This is a valid solution if your vehicle does not require CANBUS decoding.
Alternatively, we can send you a replacement wiring harness and CANBUS box (please provide your order number for that).

Regarding the system version:

You mentioned that the system shows Android 12, while it was advertised as Android 13, and there’s no “System Update” option available.

This is a known situation — the unit can be upgraded to Android 13 via a firmware update (manual flashing process).

To confirm the correct firmware for your unit, please go to:
Settings > About device,
then take a photo or provide the Build number shown there. We’ll send you the correct update package and instructions.

**Regarding the power issue:

· Your harness ACC1 is on the right pin from the véhicule’s harness because it is on that pin-out that I plugged my 3 wires connection test.

· I reconnected the unit with these 3 wires (grnd, 12v always ON and ACC1 Ignition Switch) and I added the front speakers.

o The speakers are working

So, you say it could be a valid solution if my vehicle does not require CANBUS decoding.

How can I know if my vehicle requires CANBUS DECODING? (You are the expert here; I have no idea what CANBUS decoding is.)

· If I do require CANBUS decoding, yes it would be great if you send me a new harness and CANBUS. The Order number is: 114-7719595-0305011

**Regarding the system version:

· Build number of my system is: OPM2.171019.012 release-keys. I was unable to upload the image/picture…it kept asking for a web link!

· So please provide and send me a firmware update with procedure to upgrade android.

· Can it be Upgraded to ANDROID14, or only ANDROID 13?

**Other info/inquiery :

· I have temporarely plugged everything not using your harness with CANBUS and multitude of PLUGS.

· Everything seems to be working properly…SO, I guess I don’t need the CANBUS?

· My only problem is my BACK-UP camera. The way it is installed, it displays Up-Side Down and I cannot find the way to make it Right-Side Up. Could you tell me how (where in the system)?

Regarding Firmware Upgrade:

We can provide you with the firmware update procedure and steps.

If you wish to upgrade to Android 14, the current version may not support a direct upgrade to Android 14, as this depends on the hardware and system compatibility. Your device may support an upgrade to Android 13 or a higher version. If you need the upgrade, you can try updating with this file to check whether it is supported.

Other Information/Issues:

If you are temporarily not using our CANBUS harness and multiple plugs, and everything seems to be working fine, then it’s likely that you don’t need the CANBUS decoder. Please also check whether the volume up/down buttons on the steering wheel are working properly to ensure that other control functions are also operating correctly.

Regarding the upside-down reverse image issue: please refer to the setup method shown in this video to resolve it.

Regarding Firmware Upgrade:

· The Upgrade to Android 13 with your provided Firmware Upgrade file was installed with no glitch

· Since I will have my vehicle for many years to come, I would like to upgrade it to ANDROID14.

· Could you please provide an ANDROID 14 Firmware Update File?

· If it doesn’t install or make the system unstable, I will simply reinstall the Android 13 Firmware with the previous file and go back to it.

Everything else is set and working great

At the moment, we do not have an Android 14 firmware update file available for your unit. The current hardware and system compatibility for Android 14 is still under evaluation, and we’ll release it once it’s fully tested and stable.

Have done all the set-ups I needed to do in the settings option. Done many things!

So, I have two questions:
1- Is there a battery in my radio keeping all the setups I have done. This way if the battery is chaged-disconnected or whatever since my vehicle is a RV. If a battery is present, how long will it lasts?

2- Is there a way to save all of my setting? If yes, where in the system is it? I haven’t found it.

Thanks for your questions! Here’s a detailed explanation:

No, there is no built-in battery inside the head unit to retain your settings. However, once settings are configured, they are saved automatically to internal storage and will not be lost unless a factory reset is performed.
If you wish to back up your settings before a factory reset, here’s how you can do it:

Steps to export settings:
Go to: Login to see the code → Login to see the code (enter password: 3368) → tap on “A key to export”
This will export your selected settings to a file named SettingsConfig in the internal storage of the head unit.

To restore the saved settings, simply copy the Login to see the code file along with a guide file to the root directory of a USB drive, then insert the USB into the head unit. The system will automatically detect the files and restore the settings.

Example of a guide file: A file named “LSEC6xxxupdate” is a valid guide file.
If this file is missing, the system will not detect or restore the settings, even if Login to see the code is present.

Here’s a quick summary of the steps:

Go to Factory Settings and export the current configuration parameters (this acts as a backup).
Open the File Manager, go to Internal Storage, and find the exported Login to see the code file.
Insert a USB drive and copy that file to the USB.
If you ever want to restore the current settings, just plug in the USB — the system will automatically detect and restore the settings.
